Coaches are the backbone of group travel, ensuring visitors can access destinations, attractions, and hospitality venues across the UK. But how can the industry work together to improve access, enhance facilities, and create a smoother experience for group organisers and their customers?
Phil Smith from the Confederation of Passenger Transport (CPT) shared key economic and environmental insights on coach travel – and why they matter when planning itineraries. Attendees learnt how coach-friendly policies can enhance group experiences, how destinations are adapting to better accommodate coaches, and how simply asking the right questions when booking can drive positive change.
Through examples and interactive discussion, this session gave group organisers practical tips to ensure that their groups have the best possible experience – and showed how their voice can make a difference in shaping a more coach-friendly future.
