Thinking of exhibiting at The British Tourism & Travel Show 2019? In this new case study series, we catch up with a few of our exhibitors about their past experience of the show and top tips on preparing to have a stand. First up is Wendy from hotel management company RBH…

Tell us a bit about your company….
RBH (formally Redefine|BDL Hotels) is the UK’s leading hotel management company, we operate over 70 fantastic hotels from luxury hotels with golf, leisure & spa and extensive F&B, to limited service and budget hotels.

How did you first get involved with BTTS?
We have been exhibiting at BTTS for over 5 years, we got involved as it was the best way to reach out to a multitude of clients that are travel trade contacts and buyers.

How do you prepare for BTTS?
We prepare for the show by discussing with all our hotels their travel trade requirements and any exciting news they may have. Using the online diary to see who is attending so we ensure we capture every opportunity.

Do you utilise the meeting planner?
Definitely, we use the online diary to request appointments and to keep our availability on the stand up to date.

With 3,000 attendees and 270 exhibitors, is there a cost benefit in meeting all your contacts under one roof?
Absolutely, it is great to see everyone at the key planning time of year all under one roof.

Why is BTTS an important event for the travel trade industry?
As one of the main shows in the calendar year it attracts a huge variety of buyers. It’s a great place to meet new contacts and see all the hotels, attractions and travel arrangements that are available in the market.

Overall, how would you evaluate your experience? Will you be exhibiting again?
We get a good return on investment, so will be exhibiting again for sure.
