We caught up with Anne Hamilton from Eastwood Whelpton Sailing Holidays to find out more about their company and exhibiting at the British Tourism & Travel Show.

Tell us a bit about your organisation:

Welcome to Eastwood Whelpton: a family-run, sailing holiday specialist since 1959 situated in the network of rivers that make up the Broads National Park. We’re located in the heart of the Norfolk & Suffolk Broads best sailing waters, making us one of the most desirable places in the UK to experience a holiday on the water.

We offer bespoke, on-water experiences for small to medium-sized group holidays, corporate hospitality, and special occasion ‘days out’. Accommodation and catering is provided in one of our partner hotels, or you can opt for an on-water glamping experience, sleeping aboard a traditional Norfolk yacht. We also run a programme of events throughout the year, suitable for group bookings and include wellbeing weekends, flotilla holidays, racing regattas and ‘learn to sail’ holidays.

All holidays and days out are skippered by our Royal Yachting Association (RYA) qualified instructors. This means that no sailing experience is needed to enjoy a day with us. Our instructors have many years’ experience of sailing all over the world and are passionate about sailing on the Norfolk Broads. We pride ourselves on having the best turned-out fleet of traditional charter yachts on the Norfolk Broads. Ranging from 2-berth through to 7- berth accommodation, many have showers on board, and all have fully stocked galley kitchens.

Luxury Crewman’s lunches can be provided, and evening meals are enjoyed in one of the many local restaurants on the Broads, or at the hotel accommodation provided. A self-catering package is also available. Norfolk is a fabulous and safe location for taking to the water for the first time. Whether you want an adrenalin packed adventure, or a skippered sail enjoying the historical sights and stunning wildlife, this is the best way to see the magnificent Norfolk Broads – the UK’s largest and most important wetland area.
